A video style API extracts the style of a video as data, such as pacing, cut rhythm, caption design, colour grade, framing, and music energy, so software or an agent can apply the same style to new footage.
This is the planned API design. Video Context is in private beta, and beta partners help set the final design of each endpoint.
Style is measurable
“Make it look like this one” is the most common brief in video. It is also the hardest to automate, because style lives in many small choices.
Video Context measures those choices and returns them as a style object:
Pacing. Average shot length and cut rhythm.
Beat sync. How many cuts land on the music beat.
Captions. Font weight, position, and words per line.
Colour. Temperature, contrast, and saturation.
Framing. Shot size and subject position.
Apply it anywhere
Combine a style with a template and your own footage. An agent can then make a new video that feels like the reference, without copying it.
